Tablée
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Tablée collects, why, how it is protected, and what rights you have over your data. It is written to comply with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (« Law 25 ») and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) at the federal level.
1. Who is responsible for your information
Tablée (« we ») is responsible for the personal information you provide to us. Dominic Lessard is designated as the person in charge of the protection of personal information, in accordance with Law 25. For any question or complaint regarding the protection of your personal information, you can contact him at coussin.atomique7t@icloud.com (temporary address).
2. Information we collect
- Identity and contact: email, password (encrypted), name if provided via Google.
- Food profile: number of people in the household, dietary restrictions, dietary style, weekly budget.
- Approximate location: postal code and city (for local grocery specials).
- Content you generate: recipes, menus, pantry inventory, shopping lists.
- Billing data: handled by our payment processor (Stripe) — we never store your card number.
- Minimal technical data: connection logs, session cookies necessary for the site to function.
3. Why we collect this information
We use this information only to: create and personalize your menus, manage your pantry and shopping list, process your subscription, and contact you about your account. We never sell your personal information.
4. Automated processing and artificial intelligence
Tablée uses an artificial intelligence model (provided by Anthropic, see section 5) to generate menu and recipe suggestions from your profile and your pantry. These suggestions are recommendations, not decisions with a legal or significant effect on you — you remain free to accept, modify or ignore them entirely.
The dietary restriction and allergen filters shown in the application are based on keyword detection and do not constitute a safety guarantee — see the detailed warning in our Terms of Use.
5. Sharing with processors
Some information is shared with service providers who process it on our behalf, for the sole purpose of providing the service:
- Supabase — database hosting and authentication.
- Anthropic — processing of profile and inventory data to generate menus and recipes via its Claude API.
- Stripe — payment and subscription processing.
These providers may process data on servers located outside Quebec, notably in the United States. In accordance with Law 25, we ensure that such communications outside Quebec are subject to a privacy impact assessment and that contractual clauses protect this information at a level equivalent to that provided by Quebec law.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable time, unless the law requires longer retention (for example, billing records).
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Have inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information corrected.
- Withdraw your consent to certain processing, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
- Request the portability of your information in a structured, commonly used technological format.
- File a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI) if you believe your rights have not been respected.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at coussin.atomique7t@icloud.com (temporary address).
8. Security
We apply reasonable security measures (encryption in transit, per-user access control at the database level) to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure or modification. No system is, however, 100% infallible.
9. Privacy incident
In the event of a privacy incident presenting a serious risk of harm, we will notify you as well as the Commission d'accès à l'information, in accordance with the requirements of Law 25.
10. Cookies
We use cookies strictly necessary for the site to function (authentication, session preferences). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated to you by email or through the application.
